What it means to be Maximus

Maximus is not your normal consultancy. When you work at Maximus, you are in an environment that celebrates individual personalities, is innovative, strategic and requires employees to think outside of the box. We think about doing the same things in different and better ways. We are unique and want to present our strategic ways of thinking and innovative solutions to our clients. A day in the life of an employee at Maximus varies by position, but there are truths that link each and every one of us together, moving us forward towards our individual and organisational goals.  

What it means to be Maximus: When new employees are hired at Maximus, our induction process includes a briefing on what it means to actually embody the culture at Maximus International. Our culture is based on a set of truths which we hold close to us. Hand on heart, we are authentic and give our all when we are faced with any challenge. We are a multifaceted organisation that dives in head first to the challenges we face. We expect no less from our new hires. To succeed within Maximus, you have to add value not only to the organisation but to the way we organisationally think. Do you like to recreate new and more effective ways to solve problems? Do you immerse yourself in designing a solution that is just right for a client? That’s what we do and that’s what everyone at Maximus strives for. 

We are "All In": When you work at Maximus, you are expected to be "All In". This means that we give everything that we’ve got. We help and support each other when necessary and we make decisions based on what is best for the business. If one of us falls, there will be plenty of hands offering a lift up. If one of us fails, we all have to recover from that failure. If one of us succeeds, we all celebrate and encourage further success.

We are one “Tribe”: We like to call ourselves a "Tribe", meaning that we are a family. As a tribe, we share a connection to do great things together; to create mastery and to build something special and different. We inspire each other and are wildly collaborative. Our tribe doesn’t just work together but also plays together.

We know how to have fun: When you are an employee at Maximus you get opportunities to celebrate big wins as a team. Through hell and high water we swim to reach the calm after the storm. Through stressful bid processes that require support from all areas of the organisation, we work hard and after working hard, we celebrate. We have tribe dinners, drinks, extracurricular activities and employee development retreats that immerse our staff in what it truly means to be Maximus.

As a leadership development firm, we want to develop our employees and give them opportunities that other consultancies may not offer. Without our employees, we don’t have a consultancy. When our employees embrace being Maximus, we give back and reward their stellar performance. Sounds pretty cool, right?
